Soon-To-Be-Alumni Spotlight: Izgi Ozdemir
“Try to make good connections with your teachers. Having such good relationships with my teachers helped me so much, especially in Grades 11 and 12.”
Meet Izgi Ozdemir, Class of 2026 graduate and soon-to-be-alumni who is going to study Psychology at the University of Amsterdam or Liberal Arts at University College Utrecht, after being at ISA for 6 years.
What are some of your most memorable moments at ISA?
I think Global Village Day is going to be something I remember. I also think the volleyball team that I was a part of since 5th grade is something I am always going to remember.
What advice or insights do you have for our current ISA students?
My advice would be to get to know everyone in your grade and talk to anyone you want. Also, I think try to make good connections with your teachers. Having such good relationships with my teachers helped me so much, especially in 11th and 12th grade.
How did your time at ISA impact your life?
My time at ISA taught me to be even more outgoing and social than I already was. It taught me that strong friendships are for life, no matter which country someone lives in.
How prepared do you feel for this next stage in your life?
Academically, I feel good. I think IB is preparing me very well for time management and stressful times. Personally, I also feel good. I am just upset that I am leaving my best friends, but I know that I can fit into the next chapter of my life easily.
The ISA Soon-To-Be-Alumni Spotlight series aims to welcome seniors into our alumni community and share their excitement and nostalgia during the transition period into their post-ISA journeys. It’s a new chapter for them and we are here to celebrate their legacy and potential!
