Author Tad Hills Inspires ISA Students

The Libraries Team is delighted to share the highlights from author and illustrator Tad Hills’ recent visit to ISA on 11 and 12 December.

Known for his beloved children’s books “Rocket the Dog” and “Duck and Goose” books and Apple+ TV series, the author visited students in Nursery up to Grade 3 to share stories and answer questions. The visit offered students a unique insight into storytelling, creativity and the joy of reading. Using the mediums of felt, sketch and paint, Mr Hills’ approach to storytelling captivated our students, sparking their love of reading and inspiring them to be creative.

Mr Hills also joined us at the ISA Libraries Winter Book Fair, which the ISA Libraries organised in collaboration with The American Book Center. The pop-up book fair offered a diverse range of books for all members of the ISA community to inspire their Winter Break reading. The book signing event was a joyful experience, with members of the ISA community cherishing their signed copies and personal chats with Mr Hills.

One parent attendee said: “I feel very lucky that [my child] got to get the signed copy of the book of Mr Tad Hills. He was very excited and read the book enthusiastically!”

Thank you to everyone who helped support the ISA Libraries and make Mr Hills’ visit such a memorable learning experience for our students and community.
