ISA Book Sale Raises Over €9,100 To Support Global Education
Our annual ISA Room to Read Book Sale was once again a huge success! Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community, over €9,117.40 was raised to support Room to Read’s mission of increasing access to education in developing countries around the world. Hundreds of gently used books found new homes, and students, staff, and parents came together to support a powerful cause.
This year’s event was especially meaningful, as Room to Read celebrated its 25th anniversary and honoured our school by including us in their special global recognition list ‘25 Chapters to Celebrate 25 Years’. In their words:
“Our story would not be the same without your chapter.”
Over the past 13 years, the ISA community has raised funds that have had a significant impact, contributing to the education of children across the world, providing teacher training and learning materials, and supporting the printing of books in students’ native languages.
Room to Read’s mission “world change starts with educated children” aligns closely with our commitment to educating for international understanding. The Book Sale offers our students not only the opportunity to promote literacy but also to engage in meaningful action that fosters their empathy and sense of global citizenship.
