Three ISA Students Recognised in Global Online Academy Showcase

Three ISA students have been recognised in the 2025-26 Global Online Academy (GOA) Capstone Showcase, with their projects selected as exemplary from more than 1,400 submissions worldwide.

The Global Capstone Showcase celebrates outstanding student work from across the GOA network and highlights projects that demonstrate creativity and real-world impact.

ISA students Tiffany, Luca and Marina were recognised for projects exploring a range of contemporary challenges. Tiffany, who studied Problem Solving with Engineering and Design, developed a proposal for an innovative note-taking device designed to reduce paper waste in schools. In Graphic Design, Luca created a multimedia awareness campaign examining deceptive marketing practices on food labels. Marina, studying Capitalism: Past, Present and Future, investigated planned obsolescence in smartphones and proposed solutions to address its environmental and social impact.

ISA joined GOA in 2021 to expand opportunities for student choice and agency in learning. Through the programme, students can pursue courses beyond the traditional curriculum, collaborate with peers from around the world and explore subjects aligned with their interests and aspirations.

The recognition of Tiffany, Luca and Marina reflects not only the quality of their work, but also the power of student-driven learning. By identifying real-world issues, conducting in-depth research and developing their own responses, these students demonstrated the critical thinking and initiative that lie at the heart of the GOA experience.

Congratulations to Tiffany, Luca and Marina on this outstanding achievement.
