Global Leader in International Education

For 60 years, the International School of Amsterdam has been a global leader in the international education community. We believe in fostering curiosity, creativity and a passion for learning for all members of our community.

Located in one of Europe’s most exciting and accessible cities, ISA combines a rich cultural heritage with world-class faculty and staff. We have built a tradition of excellence by pursuing innovative, research-based approaches to teaching and learning and are looking for dynamic, child-centered professionals committed to inquiry, collegiality and international understanding.

As the first school authorised to teach the full IB programme, ISA’s teaching environment is firmly grounded on the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma programmes. We seek professionals who are committed to furthering student learning through the principles of the International Baccalaureate and inquiry-based methodologies.

If you believe deeply in the value of international education and are looking for an international school that will challenge and support you, we encourage you to view our vacancies. Please note that all employment requests are processed through our HR department and not via individual members of the school administration.

World Class Faculty and Staff

ISA faculty and staff are always striving to learn more, to share their knowledge, and are dedicated to inspiring and supporting our students, and each other, to develop at the highest levels.

We have 320 faculty and staff from over 34 countries. We are proud of the diversity we offer and our ability to provide an open and global platform for both personal and professional development.

Safe Recruitment Practice

Aligned with the recommendations of the International Task Force on Child Protection, ISA holds itself to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific attention to child protection. This includes – but is not limited to:
  • checks to verify the candidate’s identity
  • checks on employment history and education qualifications
  • completing reference checks with provided referees (to include current supervisor) that include questions on suitability to work with children
