Students learn best when they are mentally, emotionally and physically fit. Our students have the opportunity to participate in activities as diverse as the students themselves. From dancing to swimming and many classes in-between, students have their choice of a wide variety of extra curricular activities.
ISA offers a number of academically oriented extra curricular activities to provide students with opportunities to put their learning into action, including fieldwork and field trips both in the Netherlands and abroad. These vary from offering support at a Maasae girls school in Tanzania to planning and running a special Olympics day for a local school for students with special needs. Students may participate in international school science fairs, mathematics competitions, Boy and Girl Scouts, the International Youth Award (Duke of Edinburgh) programme and the Model United Nations.
ISA helps students explore their interests outside of the classroom by offering programmes for children from preschool through grade 12. We are proud to offer weekly activities after school so that all the students have the opportunity to learn recreationally.
We offer art classes, dance, tennis, soccer, gymnastics, Judo, badminton, swimming and basketball. Additionally there are clubs to join and languages to explore.
Whether the season is autumn, winter or spring, there is always a team to cheer for at ISA. We compete against other international schools throughout Europe and participate in the NECIS (Northwest European Council of International Schools) Championships finals.
Our students play soccer, volleyball, basketball, rugby, softball, swimming, and tennis and track. They compete to win but win or lose, they learn about sportsmanship, teamwork and dedication. |
