International Baccalaureate Programme (IB)
ISA was the first school authorized to teach the complete International Baccalaureate Programme. The IB is now offered in over 2,400 schools in 131 countries, at most of the best schools around the world. There are over 665,000 students aged two to nineteen who are currently learning how to inquire, gain knowledge and respect diverse cultures because of their IB education.
The IB student profile asks students to lead a balanced life, to be thinkers and communicators, to act in principled manners with open-minds and caring hearts. IB students learn to be risk-takers while giving thoughtful consideration to their own learning and the impact they have on their community, their environment and on humanity.
There are three IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students in preschool through grade 5, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students grade 6 through 10 and the Diploma Programme (DP) for students grades 11 and 12.
At ISA we offer all three programmes in continuum to facilitate the mobility of our international community and to provide a cohesive curriculum throughout the lower and upper schools. Universities throughout the world recognize the IB as an innovative and enriching programme that prepares students to become successful in higher-level learning and beyond.
